FAMILY WORKSHOP WITH MARTA, PUBLIO, TRISTÁN AND ROMEO
SATURDAYS 10 MAR - 14 APR
One family proposes a workshop for all kinds of families; a workshop on moving home, taking decisions and making changes; a workshop on migrations and mutations. Whether it is a block of apartments or a terraced or semi-detached house, we never have enough time and we would like to do lots of things together. Sometimes we are tired but other times we can’t sit still. Where would we like to live together? How would we treat each other? What are the limits of our desires? I want to do things on my own. I want someone to look after me. If we collaborate together, we gain in freedom and safety. We will throw ourselves on the floor, we will draw, we will make photos and videos, we will try to be somebody else, and maybe we will dress up and sing something.
Marta de Gonzalo and Publio Pérez Prieto are artists and secondary school teachers. They understand artistic languages as tools that are available for everybody to use, as a radical experience that makes us freer, that expands our imaginations and makes us more open to questioning things. They have been working together for twenty years on many things which you can see in www.martaypublio.net. Tristán and Romeo are secondary school students, young people with a lot to say and a lot to do.
