Libro Hay un estruendo

There Is a Roar

This publication brings together experiences and reflections on education at Museo CA2M. It grew out of El Triángulo, a project centred on listening and focused on a small piece of the world bounded by a school, a music conservatory and a museum in Móstoles.

Within this perimeter, remarkably, the project managed to confront the individual insecurity produced by capitalism through stammering and trembling. With that taken care of, it went on to explore the power of amateur creativity, the beauty of the collective, the workings of discipline, the challenges of collaborative projects and, ultimately, the possibilities of shifting power in ways that might bring greater prosperity and social justice.

For a project this ambitious, the texts that tell its story could only be magical. And quite logically, they stray from conventional paths of writing in an attempt to come closer to the formlessness of what took place.

The book features texts by Eva Garrido, Amalia Ruiz-Larrea, Nilo Gallego, Luz Prado, Julián Mayorga, Sonia Megías, Tamara Díaz Bringas, Pili Álvarez, María Salgado, Magda Labarga and Paloma Carrasco, as well as an animation by Poetas Menores. Coordinated by Vito Gil-Delgado.
