  • The resulting exhibition is characterised by humour, play and spontaneity.

26 September 2026—This Saturday, Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) of the Community of Madrid, located in Móstoles, opened Nadia Barkate and Fátima Moreno. The List, an exhibition devoted to drawing that can be visited free of charge until 10 January 2027.  The exhibition brings together works by both artists—who also serve as its curators—alongside pieces from the museum and ARCO Foundation collections.

It approaches drawing not only as a technique, but also as a way of thinking, acting and engaging with space. From this perspective, gesture, touch and impulse play a central role both in the works themselves and in the way visitors move through the exhibition.

The works are arranged across walls and floors in accumulations and controlled disorder. Some act as obstacles; others suggest directions or interrupt the visitor’s progress. Their arrangement brings the impulsive, improvised and relational nature of drawing into the gallery spaces.

Within this approach, the selection of works from the Museo CA2M and ARCO Foundation collections enters into dialogue with the artists’ own work through shared themes, materials and symbolic meanings. The result is an exhibition characterised by humour, play and spontaneity.
