27 September 2025. The Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) of the Autonomous Community of Madrid, based in Móstoles, inaugurates two exhibitions today: War, Trade and Philanthropy, dedicated to the work of Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa, and Murky Waters by Inês Zenha.

Pérez Agirregoikoa’s show is curated by Chus Martínez and explores painting as a critical tool. Organised around five thematic sections, it offers an itinerary through a set of works in which the narrative, conceptual and visual interlock, constructing a caustic discourse that directly challenges viewers.
Juan Pérez Agirregoikoa was born in San Sebastián in 1963 and lives and works between Paris and his hometown. During the course of his career, he has shown his work at numerous solo and group shows in museums, art centres and galleries, both in Spain and abroad.

For her part, Murky Waters is Inês Zenha's first individual exhibition at a Spanish institution. Curated by João Mourão and Luís Silva, it adopts the form of a changing sensory landscape where the artist creates a universe devoid of hierarchies in which bodies and organic and industrial materials merge with liquid networks.
Zenha was born in Lisbon in 1995 and lives and works between Paris and the Portuguese capital. With a degree in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins in London, the artist has undertaken residencies at La Folie, Barbizon; Atelier 11, Paris; and La Junqueira, Lisbon.
