1 March 2025. Today the Regional Government of Madrid is proud to present two exhibitions at the Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (CA2M) in Móstoles dedicated to the artists David Bestué and Rodríguez-Méndez. The shows will be on display until the end of the summer, with free admission.

David Bestúe. Flor Hispania features a selection of works, objects and images, as well as new interventions by this Barcelona creator. Most of the exhibits in the show belong to the CA2M collection or have been loaned by other public and private collections in Spain.

The show revolves around the city of Madrid, as the geographical, political, economic and symbolic centre of the country, and is subdivided into five sections: the north-south axis; official Madrid; hidden aspects of the city; the notion of the unbearable; and, lastly, works that highlight elements, materials or characteristics of the place.

Rodríguez-Méndez’s exhibition, Humores y espesores, is curated by Ángel Calvo Ulloa and revisits different works that have marked the Galician artist’s career since the early 2000s. Also featured are selected new works, performative actions and series, displayed alongside some of the pieces made in recent years.
