Published alongside the exhibition David Bestué. Flor Hispania, the book is conceived as an independent visual, textual and conversational exploration of Madrid and its inexhaustible capacity to generate meaning and contradiction, and to sustain a constant dialectic between centre and periphery.

Madrid emerges as a web of conflicting forces. The book brings together the source material featured in the exhibition, alongside images by Patricia Esquivias and Jorge Anguita Mirón and a series of conversations between David Bestué and María Langarita and Víctor Navarro, Borja Casani, Alfredo González Ruibal, Luis López Carrasco, Olvido García Valdés and the book’s editors.
