CA2M is now implementing the #Unmetroymedio project, which consists in getting artists who are resident in the Region of Madrid to explain to us what they are working on during confinement. Availing of the domestic means at hand, they will express their ideas through texts and images or will simply tell us how they are and talk about the possible futures that face us.

INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY 2020
On Monday 18 May we will be celebrating International Museum Day, with this year’s theme of “Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion”. Despite the fact that our doors are still closed, we will celebrate the importance of institutions like ours throughout the whole week on our social media.

Danzónico is a workshop in which we create our own carnival. We transform ourselves into sonic beings, into magnificent beasts, alongside the performing artists Ismeni Espejel and Laura Bañuelos and the musician Julián Mayorga.

Trémula is an exhibition by the artist Javi Cruz (Madrid, 1985). It is also the story of a populus tremula—the scientific name for the tree commonly called trembling aspen– which was planted in the 1980s beside the building where he grew up and still lives today in the district of San Blas and was chopped down last year because of a disease. The night when it was felled, Javier took around 500 kg of it up to his apartment and a few days later, with the help of his friends Jacobo and Lorenzo, he loaded the biggest truck he was able to drive with more.

One can recognize in the texts by Manel Clot a multiplicity of incipient ideas, obsessive desires, rough references, the validity of nostalgia, inopportune utopias and sudden fatigues that traverse the fleetingness of the sentence and dominate his thinking almost permanently. They are not anachronisms but rather reminiscences of the 1990s.

This year we wish to see and to make film collectively and, with this purpose in mind, we have invited Chus Domínguez to design a workshop. Focused mainly on practice, it will be a space aimed at teachers and educators who want to use audiovisuals to question their workspace and to find new forms of images and sounds in the classroom.

CASE CHRISTIAN BOLTANSKI
The decision to restore this work was taken following an application for the loan of the work received from Centre Pompidou in Paris for the retrospective exhibition CHRISTIAN BOLTANSKI. FAIRE SON TEMPS (13 November 2019 - 16 March 2020). The installation comprises a total of 360 elements in different materials and formats.

THE CHOSTISTÓN: MINI AND SUPER-QUICK TRIBUTE
In May several birthdays are celebrated in Madrid, and we are going to make a gift-tribute to our region. Through two workshops, the artist Clara Moreno Cela shows the public the process of her research on the identity of Madrid. In order for everyone to enjoy this activity, the first day is aimed at families, and the second and third days are aimed at teenagers and adults.

SKY AND EARTH
We are inviting families (neighbours, friends, chosen families, etc.) to participate in the activity that the artist Antonio Ballester Moreno has planned for the CA2M Museum.
