¿Alguna vez te has quedado frente a una obra pensando: “Pero… esto es arte?” Este curso quiere abrir un espacio para responder a esa pregunta y muchas más, desde la curiosidad y el diálogo.

During this three-day event some of the projects conceived and developed during the 2020 programme will be presented and a meeting place will be facilitated with the artists in the 2021-2022 programme.
One year later, the question that underpins these conferences, challenges us, if possible, even more directly For which bodies, for what histories. In the face of the general uncertainty and the absolute lack of historical precedence that we are going through, this question confronts us with the contingency of history in the materiality of our bodies given the very violence that a brutal and savage irruption like this pandemic entails. We are confident that the curatorial threads - which were once amassed with rigour and care, and which are now being taken up again with the understanding of a vital transformation - continue to make sense.

Continuing the line of work begin in 2014, El cine rev[b]elado has put together a programme of activities on audiovisual performance and cinema’s interconnections with other disciplines, engaging with the cinematographic experience beyond the conventional darkened film theatre and the screened image.
27th IMAGE SYMPOSIUM. DANCE THIS MESS AROUND
The Image Study Days are dedicated to collective reflection on theory, practice, semantic openings and contemporary demarcations of visual cultures. This edition is structured in three study days made up of talks, reading sessions, performative conferences and listening sessions, which place themes related to club culture.

LITTLE FRIEDEL… CAN YOU HEAR ME?
In the summer of 1959 the Estonian non-fiction film producer and opera singer Friedrich Jürgenson and his partner tried to record the birdsong of a finch in order to use it in one of their documentaries. In the forest near their home Friedrich placed a tape recorder and remained silent as he tried to record the birdsong. On returning home, he played back what he had recorded.
